Custodial Coordinator

General Summary:This position is responsible for providing leadership to custodial staff during shift, including scheduling, training, implementing improvements; position will also clean and sanitizes as scheduled/needed to ensure that facility is kept in clean and orderly condition.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Ensures that all equipment is scheduled to best effect and makes work assignments accordingly.Forecasts and schedules overtime as needed.Maintain inventory and ordering of all cleaning chemicals and janitorial materials ensuring they are ready and available for use when needed.Maintains all schedule performance and tracking information for their area of responsibility and shift.Regularly provides feedback in their area of responsibility to appropriate management.Train & cross-train employees in custodial procedures, equipment usage, chemical usage, and safety requirements.Provides recommendations for and implements custodial process improvements.Effectively leads a team of co-workers in day-to-day work operations.Check & Inspection of all cleaning chemical bottles for proper labeling.Performs time studies on the various custodial job functions.Creates work standards for the various custodial work areas.Provides recommendations for various custodial equipment or chemicals.Performs other custodial functions as needed.
