3rd Shift Lead Welder wanted in Northfield, MNFlexible pay: $36/hr+ startingJob DescriptionCandidates will be MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel to produce exhaust systems for power generation, oil & gas, marine, locomotive, construction, and off-road markets. Tack welding and assembling the exhausts will also be part of their duties, although the majority of the work will be a mix of custom and production-style MIG welding. Candidates need to know how to read blueprints and weld symbols. Being able to perform a variety of tasks throughout the shop is key to learning and growing within the company.Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel.

Lead a team on the 3rd shift, the staff for this shift will be built out once you join the company.

Produce exhaust systems for various markets including power generation, oil & gas, marine, locomotive, construction, and off-road.

Tack weld and assemble exhaust systems as needed.

Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.

Assist with fabrication work such as running a brake press, shear, and roller.

Perform a variety of tasks throughout the shop to support company operations and personal growth.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel.

Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.

Experience with metal fabrication techniques.

Knowledge of plasma cutting.

Familiarity with using a tape measure and brake press.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with TIG welding is a plus.

Comfortable with assisting in various fabrication tasks.

Ability to adapt to different tasks and work in a dynamic environment.
