2nd Shift Shop Foreman - Lakeville, MN

Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (flexibility in start time)

The Shop Foreman oversees the daily operations of our maintenance facilities and is responsible for managing service staff, ensuring high-quality maintenance and repairs, optimizing shop efficiency, and maintaining safety and compliance practices and standards.

Oversee daily shop activities, including managing repair orders, monitoring work progress, and ensuring timely completion of service.

Oversee advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on tractors and trailers.

Serve as the subject-matter expert for complex technical issues within the shop department.

Assist with maintenance schedules and prioritizing repairs to minimize vehicle downtime.

Conduct quality control checks on repairs performed by team members to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Train and mentor technicians, fostering skill development across the department.

Assist with implementing industry best practices and emerging technologies

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies while handling tools and chemicals.

Seeking an individual who has:

Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Technical knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware, and software used to diagnose vehicle issues.

A solid grasp of local, state, and federal DOT laws, policies, and procedures for protecting people, data, property, and institutions.

Familiarity with transportation principles and methods for moving goods by road, including the relative costs and benefits.

Time management skills for self and others.

The ability to communicate with other tractor shop employees and supervisors to rectify problems such as missing parts and time constraints.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent andDiesel Engine Specialist or related degree from a secondary institution.

Five years of experience is required.

Commercial Driver’s License is preferred but not necessary.
