Hiring (1) First Shift (Hours are Negotiable) (2) Second Shift (Monday - Thursday 3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.)
Purpose:
The Sheet Metal setup/ Operator is responsible for day-to-day execution of sheet metal fabrication to ensure timely completion of jobs, parts built to customer specification, and a safe workplace.
Responsibilities:
Setup and operate machines to make parts for APG to use in assembling cash drawers
Maintain established quality levels and checks
Maintain the equipment and work area
Must have strong Communications skills
Must be fluent in reading Auto CAD Drawings
Must be a team player
Ensure maximum utilization of equipment in the area and adherence to the schedule
Support and enforce all Safety Program policies rules and procedures
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to stand for most of shift
Ability to use measurement and inspection equipment as needed, calipers, rules and computer aided measuring
equipment
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds consistently
Communication proficiency, able to speak, read and understand English language
Setup experience in one or more machines
Setup experience in one or more press brake
Proficient to read/use measuring equipment: tape measure, caliper, square, and understand mathematics to very job
requirements, specs and maintain quality controls.
Ability to work in a team
Requirements:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent
2-5 years working experience in assembly manufacturing.
Salvini experience a plus
Programming experience a plus
