Central Turf Farms is a family farm that leads Minnesota sod farms in innovation in the five-state area. We have a thirty-year reputation of growing the finest grass for the best lawns, ballfields and golf courses throughout the Upper Midwest.
Our fleet of trucks, harvesters, forklifts, tractors and can deliver an entire football field in a day and a few pallets to contractors, nurseries, athletic fields and golf courses.
We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles and machinery. Work includes minor repairs to engine and transmission rebuilds. Must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. We have a great variation of machines for different work all the time and staff for minor maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and systems
- Excellent knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
- Ability to read instructions, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Practical knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment
- High school diploma is preferred: Certificate from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship a plus
- Welding, Cutting Touch and Plasma Cutter
- Ability to stand, bend, crouch, climb, push/pull frequently & lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Must have own tools.

Responsibilities
- Maintain, Repair & maintain agriculture and transportation equipment year round
- Maintain clean shop, equipment & tools to ensure they are kept safe/usable condition
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections
- Conduct visits on the farm in the event of an emergency or sudden breakdown
- Assist/Perform mobile emergency services
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
- Willingness to participate in ASE certification program. Training, testing, and bonuses provided!

10 hour days 5 days a week May thru November, 4 days a week during winter.
