VITALIST is an elevated nutritional cuisine company established in 2017 that has undergone 7 years of R+D in California. The Founder created VITALIST and its extensive variety of unique products from her many years as a chef at acclaimed restaurants and as a private chef to Hollywood celebrities.
We are launching a new restaurant concept on Lake Minnetonka, focusing on hot drinks, superfoods, and special dining experiences. We are a farm-to-table Mediterranean restaurant that has a variety of plant-focused dishes.
We are also offering 3rd party delivery from this location and retail wellness products.
We are seeking an energetic, adaptable, detail-oriented person to help the kitchen manager with preparing our unique menu and food products. You should be familiar with the health food industry, and the inner workings of a quick-service kitchen.
As a Line Cook at VITALIST, you will play a crucial role in preparing, cooking and roasting our mouth-watering menu items. From marinating and roasting our sustainable and organic local meats, fish and cooked dishes to supporting the Executive Chef on her mission to deliver the season's best in a high quality chill environment. You will work alongside a talented team to ensure efficiency, accuracy and consistency in our Kitchen Operations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items following Vitalist protocol
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area.
Work as a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
Uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and guest satisfaction.
Assisting the executive chef to put out properly temped food.
Plating food that showcases the high quality ingredients and caliber.

Requirements:
Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role
Previous experience in customer facing roles a plus, and an affinity to interacting with customers.
Passion for Mediterranean cuisine and a willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility in scheduling, including nights and weekends (as they are a requirement).
Experience with fish, meat and cooked dishes.
Experience with raw food and dehydrators is not required but a big plus.
Experience prepping food, cutting vegetable, and dishwashing.
An overall enjoyment of working with fresh produce and love for preparing food in the kitchen
An organized individual that can easily prioritize relevance while multi-tasking and keeping a tidy and clean working kitchen environment
Friendly, reliable and easy to work with on a team.
Cleaning surfaces and spaces as needed regularly.

Desire to learn new skills- the majority of work will include using a knife to cut, a food processor, a blender, dehydrators, stove, and packaging food and drink products.

A drivers license and ability to lift 50 pounds is ideal.
