Job Title: Front of House SupervisorLocation: Reverie Café + Bar, Minneapolis, MN

Employee Type: Full-time (35–45 hours/week)

Reports to: General Manager

Compensation: $23 - $27

Benefits:

2 weeks paid time off to start

Position Summary The Front of House Supervisor leads the daily operations of the FOH team, ensuring excellent guest experiences and maintaining consistent systems and standards. This role is hands-on and focused on operational execution, staff leadership, administrative work and regular on-floor presence as a shift lead.

The FOH Supervisor collaborates closely with the General Manager and supports leadership functions. This role has opportunities for growth and development within the business.

Operational Support

Support FOH daily operations, maintaining systems, checklists, recipes, and standards

Act as Shift Lead on assigned shifts, ensuring smooth service and communication with the General Manager

Assist with training and onboarding new team members in coordination with the GM

Manage call outs and staffing situations; fill in during call-outs or time off as needed.

Customer Experience

Maintain high standards of hospitality and guest service

Handle guest concerns and feedback with grace and compassion

Support continuous improvements to the guest experience

Online Content & Menu Management

Maintain and update online ordering platforms and digital menus to ensure accuracy and consistency

Monitor online orders and troubleshoot issues with POS or delivery integrations

Assist with creating and scheduling social media content to promote specials, events, and seasonal offerings in collaboration with the General Manager

Regularly respond to online reviews and help maintain our positive online presence

Respond to basic online inquiries or escalate as needed

Coffee Bar & Beverage Operations

Work with existing staff to oversee the coffee bar operations, recipe development, and seasonal specials as the program transitions

Support maintenance of espresso machine and beverage equipment

Rotate and price inventory for coffee, beer, wine, and related items, print and maintain the drinks menu

Ensure up-to-date drink guides and recipe documentation

Facilities & Systems

Participate in facilities maintenance and support preventative care

Ensure cleanliness standards are upheld in FOH and guest areas

Oversee and ensure the implementation and maintenance of operational systems such as the cleaning checklists, POS updates, seasonal changes to the venue and more.

Administrative Support

Assist with supply ordering and inventory processes

Help maintain POS menus and printed materials

Support catering and special events setup and execution in partnership with the GM and leads

Assist with social media or marketing efforts as delegated

Qualifications

2–3 years of experience in supervisory and/or management roles

2-3 years operational leadership experience

5+ years of customer service experience

Barista skills and comfort preparing espresso drinks

Confident supporting a team and handling day-to-day FOH operations

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to be flexible and adapt to the fluid nature of a restaurant

Must be 21+ years of age

Experience with food safety practices and documentation preferred

Bartending or kitchen experience a plus

Special event management experience a plus

Weekend, evening and holiday availability

Physical Requirements

Able to stand, walk, and work in a fast-paced environment for long periods

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical tasks like bending and climbing stairs

Comfortable working in kitchen/restaurant conditions with heat, noise, and cleaning agents

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
