Who We Are
Busy, local bar and grill seeks Bartender/Server . a local Minneapolis establishment. The Cedar Inn has been a local watering hole for several decades. We are well known in the neighborhood for having great chicken wings (voted best of City Pages in 2020) and affordable American grill fare – burgers, fresh cut fries, house specials, etc. We have a small, close knit team consisting of our ownership staff, long time kitchen manager/staff and bartenders.
Who You Are
A personable and RELIABLE individual interested in working at a laidback local neighborhood watering hole. Must be able to multi-task, take direction, and work quickly and efficiently. Must be able to communicate effectively with other staff members and work well as a part of a small team. We are looking for someone with Day and Night availability, Monday through Sunday days (10am to 530pm),Night 5:00 Pm Until 2:30 Am . May work up to 40 hrs weekly. You will receive compensation in the form of an hourly wage of $16/hour + tips. Permanent schedule to be discussed with outstanding staff to accommodate restaurant needs.
Basic Job Duties (Bartender)
1) Mixing various ingredients. Pouring of wine and beer is also necessary.
2) Washing of equipment, barware and glasses after use.
3) Collecting payments and operating the cash register, utilization of POS system.
4) Serving customers who sit at the bar with food and drinks.
5) Deciding on whether a customer has had too much of alcohol.
6) Cleaning of the work area and the bar counter.
7) Taking orders and serving them to the right customers.
8) Ordering supplies that are required for the bar.
9) Arranging of bottles etc. at the bar to make it look good.
