Description:This is an ITQ Dynamic Talent, 1300 hour track position. Seeking flexible, part-time talent with product development experience, ideally in human or pet food consumer packaged goods. The first assignment will be with one of our Co-Founder Innovation teams supporting product development and small scale production for new product offerings and will be 20-25 hours/wk for 6-12+ months. At the conclusion of this first assignment, talent will be offered additional part-time, flexible assignments as they are available. Hours will be flexible from week to week, and will not exceed 1300 hours annually. Positions on the Dynamic Talent Bench are intended to be open-ended, so there is no true end date. Contracts will be extended as long as success in assignments is achieved. Candidates must reside in or within daily commuting distance of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area as this is an on-site role at the James Ford Bell Technical Center. Personal or agency provided technology will be used for this position.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:ITQ Dynamic Talent team members will be engaged for defined assignments across our ITQ R&D Product Development community that require product development expertise. Responsibilities for the first assignment include the following. Digital and physical inventory management of ingredients and finished product to support online and retail purchases Collect data both manually and electronically; organize and document for future use Independently manage tasks and small projects efficiently and with excellence as assigned by Technical Co-Founders or R&D developers while working collaboratively on others Maintain lab spaces Build technical expertise in new areas and share knowledge across the organization Identify opportunities by challenging formulation and processing assumptions Occasionally support in-person consumer sampling at “Lemonade stands” on weekends Take products from bench top to salable pilot plant production while collaborating fully in a cross functional environment Assist in the development of new products, make product improvements, and contribute to concept refinement and product start-ups in the pilot plantAdditional Skills & Qualifications:STANDARD EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 7+ years of directly relatable experience 2-Year Degree or High School Degree Basic computer/technology skills (Office Suite, other computer programs) Comfortable in a lab and processing (pilot plant or plant) environment; comfortable operating lab equipment Basic understanding of food safety and human safetyOTHER DESIRED SKILLSETS/QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to a team environment BS or MS in Food Science or related degree Strong organization skills Proven ability to deliver executional excellence Ability to be flexible and adapt to multiple situations Demonstrated ability to assist technically driven projects; strong technical aptitude Strong self-starter and holds a high regard for quality of work; ability to work independently with minimal direction.
