Augsburg University’s APA-accredited Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program invites applications for a core faculty position to begin in August 2025. Our program trains students using a broad, generalist, practitioner-scholar model, with a firm grounding in social justice. Multiculturalism is a core value of our program and is woven throughout our curriculum and practicum training experiences. This full-time, in-person program offers small class sizes and a cohesive, egalitarian faculty that holds a wide variety of theoretical orientations and applied research interests.Preferred candidates will be committed to teaching and mentoring in clinical psychology at the graduate level. Responsibilities for this full-time position (11-month appointment) will include teaching, academic advising, supervision of student research, and service to the university. Classes are generally offered on weekdays, with occasional evening classes. Preferred candidates will also have demonstrated competence and experience in applied research within the field of clinical psychology. Particular domains of applied research expertise could include: psychological assessment, biological bases of psychology, or working with children and families, among others. This position will allow the individual to integrate their unique experiences and competencies within a program that emphasizes the role of context and multiculturalism in clinical psychology. All faculty are licensed psychologists and are afforded one day per week for professional practice and/or scholarship. This day for professional activity aligns with our commitment to integrate clinical practice and/or research with teaching.
