Grinder/Shop LaborJob DescriptionWe are looking for a grinder to work on engine blocks and crankshafts. This person will be responsible for boring and honing out engine blocks and grinding crankshafts. Based on experience, this person will potentially start in a labor-based position and then move on to more grinding and machining responsibilities after training. The parts and engine blocks are very tight tolerance work and very expensive, so training is very important before working independently.Responsibilities

Boring and honing out engine blocks

Grinding crankshafts

Operating hand tools and general labor

Utilizing micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools

Performing machine operations and machining tasks

Ensuring precision and accuracy in all machining and grinding tasks

Maintaining an organized and clean work environment

Essential Skills

At least 1 year of machine operating experience in a metal manufacturing environment

Ability to work well with a team and take direction well

Experience with hand tools, grinding, machining, and machine operation

Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a machine shop environment

Familiarity with tight tolerance work

Strong attention to detail

Ability to learn and adapt to new tasks through training
