This opportunity offers exciting project challenges while managing design teams on a wide range of single and multi-discipline projects. Enjoy responsibilities that include:
Project engineering and management including project oversight, setting priorities, and developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process.
Serving as a technical resource for site civil team members.
Project engineering and management.
Mentorship of less experienced staff members.
Business development activities including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management.
Professional society involvement.
We are considering candidates who possess the following minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Master’s degree is considered a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and managing a wide variety of site development projects, municipal roadway and utility projects, with MnDOT knowledge a plus. Candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge of stormwater management design and permitting regulations.
Knowledge of municipal utility design including sanitary sewer and water main.
Abilities to mentor staff and successfully lead a project team.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-discipline and architect-led team on large projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) License in Minnesota. PE licenses in other Midwest states is a plus.
Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members is necessary.
Proficient with hydrology and hydraulic software. Experience with GIS software is a plus.
Capabilities in Autodesk Civil3D also desired.
