Application Security Engineer

Description:SummaryWe are looking for an Application Security Engineer to join our team and help us protect our web applications from cyber threats. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a enterprise wide application security program through conducting security assessments, implementing security best practices, and developing security tools and solutions. You will also collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our applications meet the highest security standards.Responsibilities Perform security testing and code reviews of web applications and API’s Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities and risks Develop and maintain security policies, guidelines, and procedures Provide security guidance and training to developers and QA engineers Research and evaluate new security technologies and tools Monitor and respond to security incidents and alertsSkills:Application security, Owasp, Vulnerability, Java, Sast, DAST, DevOps, APITop Skills Details:Application security,Owasp,Vulnerability,Java,Sast,DAST,DevOps,APIAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in application security or related field Strong knowledge of web and API security concepts and best practices Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, Python, C#, etc.) Experience with security testing (SAST, SCA, and DAST) tools and frameworks (e.g. OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) Experience with CI/CD pipeline, DevOps and automation tools Experience with security standards and compliance (e.g. OWASP Top 10, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.) Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Self-motivated and team-orientedExperience Level:Entry LevelAbout TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
