Description We are in search of an Admissions Specialist to join our team in the education sector in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role primarily involves administrative duties and project management tasks, with potential opportunities for growth in the field of admissions. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Manage front desk operations, including handling walk-in traffic during the school year and directing visitors as needed Attend to forwarding calls and emails, ensuring efficient communication within the organization Handle maintenance requests, routing them to the appropriate personnel Engage in project-based work as part of our growth model, with opportunities for outreach initiatives Assist in other areas such as financial aid, providing comprehensive support to various operations Utilize tools such as Canvas, Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint for various tasks Demonstrate strong organizational effectiveness and adaptability in handling multiple tasks Provide excellent customer service in all interactions with students, parents, staff, and other stakeholders Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings as required Provide general administrative assistance, contributing to the smooth running of our educational institution. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience with Canvas or similar learning management systems. Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse groups. Excellent organizational effectiveness, able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Adaptability to changing situations and environments. Experience in administrative assistance, including calendar management and maintenance requests. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in the education industry, specifically in admissions, is preferred. Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to solve problems and make decisions in a timely manner. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships. Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
