Description A nonprofit in Minneapolis is in need of a temporary Administrative Assistant. This temporary position would be at least 2 months in length or longer. As part of the Administrative Support Team, this position provides administrative support/assistance to help ensure the smooth functioning of the office.RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in planning, organizing and implementing meetings and special events such as all-staff meetings and retreats.

Provide oversight of the office supply inventory – replenishing and reordering as necessary

Provide back-up support to the front desk, including working on the switchboard, greeting clients and operating all office equipment on an as needed basis.

Serve as a resource to staff by providing assistance in creating power point presentations, PDF files, scanning documents, etc.

Provide administrative assistance to the Executive Team that includes, but is not limited to, drafting and typing correspondence, copying material, preparing mailings, filing, assisting with special projects, site tours and special events.

Along with other members of the administrative support services team assist with mailings, filing, organizing supplies and general office maintenance.

Also help with the maintenance of the conference rooms, employee kitchen, coffee areas, lobby and other common areas of the building.

Special projects & other administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Associates or technical degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum of three years of administrative or executive assistant, or office manager experience

Excellent computer skills, including competency in the use of Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, etc.

High comfort level with technology (scanner, copier, digital camera, projector presentation, etc.)

Ability to perform administrative support duties with speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision

Excellent organization skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and see projects through to completion in a timely manner.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

High level of personal and professional integrity, including ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ability to take initiative and to work both independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated ability to efficiently organize, coordinate, track and complete multiple tasks as well as adjust to changing priorities.
