This position is responsible for fulfilling orders. The shipping specialist is responsible for identifying and fulfilling the proper product and quantity in purchases, and securely packaging and labeling the shipment properly.
Essential Functions:
1. Verifies package identifying information through counts, weights, and/or other measures.
2. Execute proper procedures to pack and prepare shipments.
3. Maintain stock for shipping supplies.
4. Affixes shipping labels/shipping ID info on prepared packages for shipment.
5. Provide quality control review for all products within the retail stock area.
6. Understand shipping costs and eliminate unnecessary expenses related to errors and inefficiencies in the
shipping process.
7. Coordinate completion of preparing shipments with carrier pickup times
8. Utilizing hand pallet jack, forklifts and shipping carts, properly positions items for shipment after
preparation.
Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
B. Experience: Prefer 1+ years directly related shipping operations experience (i.e. FedEx/UPS), pulling and
packaging parts.
C. Knowledge/Skills: Excellent customer service and organizational skills with strong attention to details,
Analytical problem solving, Understand and follow protocol for the proper lines of
communication, clear understanding of company mission and values and ability to work
independently and as part of a team.
D. Working Conditions: Works in the shop environment and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
This position works under the direction of the Product Support Manager.
