This is a full-time position working from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, based in Mankato, Minnesota. Position involves regional travel and hybrid work based on business needs. The ASP pharmacist will be responsible for collaborative ASP activities and will practice in a highly interdisciplinary environment alongside a network of Mayo Clinic ASP pharmacists, physicians, and healthcare administrators. Antimicrobial therapies will be optimized through advanced stewardship tools within the electronic health record, patient care consultation, and review of antimicrobial usage. This position will participate in the MCHS MN Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee and in numerous regional and Enterprise quality improvement activities. Participates in scholarly activities and educates healthcare professionals and learners regarding optimal antimicrobial use. Participates in quality improvement and resource management initiatives. Participates in and supports research activities of the Pharmacy Department and Antimicrobial Stewardship. Supports continuous improvement, patient safety, and various departmental and institutional accreditation programs. Opportunity for academic appointment at hiring and progression through appointment rank through achievement.A Pharmacist at Mayo Clinic provides medication management services in coordination with other health care professionals to deliver safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapy to patients. Responsibilities may include assessment of medication therapy regimens, medication therapy management, medication order verification/entry, medication distribution, medication therapy monitoring, and consultation, documentation of medication therapy plans, and medication use education and pharmaceutical care services. Participates in collaborative practice and/or protocol-driven practice as appropriate. Additionally, pharmacists are active members in quality improvement, research activities, and education as described in the job specific competencies.QualificationsQualifications: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent experience.Additional qualifications: Commitment to excellence, accuracy, attention to detail and teamwork required. Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively with others, organize time well, practice with an agile mindset, solve problems, and work independently with minimal supervision required.The following are preferred:

Previous experience including PGY1 or PGY2 training and/or equivalent experience of two years in related practice area

Evidence of ongoing scholarly pursuits including research/quality improvement, publications, or scientific presentations

Relevant applicable pharmacy experience working in a progressive and collaborative practice environment

Experience and/or interest in teaching and/or precepting

Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy Specialty (BCPS) or area of focus/specialty (BCIDP)

License or Certification: Current pharmacist license by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy, or eligible to obtain within a time frame compliant with the site’s applicable employee licensure policy.
