This position will focus on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and be the accessible technology expert. It will provide guidance and support to faculty and staff in creating accessible content using technology in courses, training, and student services. This position will lead a team focusing on making sure information and technologies are in compliance with state and federal accessibility requirements, as well as the institution’s commitment to access, equity, and universal design. This position will assist faculty and staff in creating a transformational and sustainable system of support for technology-enhanced learning experiences that meets high-quality standards in and out of the classroom.Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or 5 years of experience,

Experience with assisting individuals in the application and understanding of UDL and accessibility principles related to emerging web technologies, multimedia, and learning environments

Experience designing and facilitating professional development for faculty and staff

Experience with assistive technology troubleshooting and working knowledge of digital accessibility best practices

Knowledge and ability to conduct accessibility remediation.

Knowledge of intellectual property and copyright law

Preferred Qualification

Master’s or PhD

Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

Strong project management and organizational skills with sensitivity to deadlines and the ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment at a high level of competence

Professional experience utilizing accessibility audit and evaluation tools and processes

Demonstrated experience working with technology vendors and service providers (procurement, implementation, modification/customization, incident remediation, etc.)

Expertise in policies related to accessible technology, including Section 508, UDL, and others

Experience with drafting and implementing policies, processes, and/or procedures to remain in compliance with legal and ethical obligations regarding intellectual property, copyright, and accessible technology

Proficiency with learning management systems

Experience with the Quality Matters Rubric and program

Experience in utilizing digital accessibility audit and evaluation tools to determine if technology and/or software adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA and provide guidance to vendors/publishers in meeting WCAG 2.1 AA.
