Project Engineering Manager (8M)YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE
Managing a team of project engineers including issuing work assignments, monitoring team member performance, writing and delivering performance reviews, mentoring team members, and facilitating career development
Evaluating department processes for improvement opportunities and leading improvement projects
Ensuring the application of project engineering best practices for a wide variety of projects from R&D to Manufacturing
Collaborating with program management, technical personnel, functional leadership and support organizations to drive the successful delivery of highly specialized systems
Developing executable work packages for large, very complex, high-value components and systems involving multiple scientific and engineering disciplines
Leading cost, schedule, and technical decisions for multi-disciplinary engineering teams of 15 people or more, often needing to make rapid decisions based on ambiguous or conflicting information
Understanding the complex interactions between the business and technical requirements of a project so that you can provide guidance to the execution team and recommendations to the program manager when conflicts arise
Overseeing the preparation, approval, and delivery of documentation, as prescribed by contract requirements
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorizationYOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
Minimum 8 years of technical project leadership experienceU.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain government security clearanceWE VALUE
Active TS security clearance with polygraph
Master’s degree or PhD in Systems Engineering, Software Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical
Engineering, or related field.
10 to 15 years of experience in engineering, research & development, manufacturing, or a related field
Experience leading a department or function with performance and career progression oversight
Experience bringing designs from prototype to production
Lean, Black Belt, and PMP Certifications
