PCA/DSP/CFSS for 18 Year Old Male with Autism
We want to find and hire a person to provide direct support to an 18 Year Old Male with Autism. Your job will be providing the primary caregiver with regular breaks by hanging out and doing activities with the client. The hours are flexible and we will work with you to find a schedule you can accommodate.
The most important requirements for this position are:
- Ability to pass a MN Dept of Human Services background check (assistance provided if needed).
- Ability to complete PCA/CFSS Certification Online through MN Department of Human Services (assistance provided if needed).
- An open mind and a caring demeanor.
- Be able to stand, walk up to 2 miles, bend, and exert up to 50 pounds of force to move/lift objects.
- Must be comfortable around dogs.
Some experience is preferred, but not required. The client is physically active and likes to go for occasional long walks. You will be working in the client's home and in the vicinity of client's home in Cloquet, MN. You will occasionally accompany client and provide supervision during community outings to local stores, businesses, parks, & recreation facilities, but you are not required to provide to provide the client with transportation.
