Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. Your role will involve assisting with classroom management, implementing curriculum, and providing support to students.
Duties:
- Assist in creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Support students in their social, emotional, and academic development
- Provide individualized attention and guidance to students as needed
- Help prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities
- Supervise students during recess, lunchtime, and other non-instructional periods
- Collaborate with other staff members and parents to ensure the overall well-being of students
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices
- Experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with students
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
