Position: CNC Operator-First Shift
This is a full-time position that reports to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Equipment Operation:
1) CNC and Automation programs: Run programs, re-set to start
2) Create offsets to adjust dimensions
3) Start machine
4) Measure part, adjust offsets and tooling, inspect visually for defects
5) Operate CNC equipment: do production operations as needed by supervisor.
6) Confirm inspections and parts count, remove and replace tooling
7) Tool Holders: select and install tool sticks, holders, and blocks
8) Coolant: install best flow nozzle and lines, adjust lines,
9) Materials: select correct raw material, rough cut if needed, setup WIP bins (red, yellow, blue)
10) Scrap: dispose of chips and solid scrap, track defective parts during production
11) Status: complete machine status, parts status, and tool life status
12) WIP Inspection: note critical specifications, do routine inspections, record data
13) Parts Count: count manually when necessary, use counting scale, record count
Skills/Competencies:
1) High school diploma or equivalent
2) Show competent written and verbal skills
3) Manual Dexterity
4) Past experience in field or related field
5) Read and understand blueprints
