SHOP HELPER $19/HR TO $21/HR -START-ASAPJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Shop Helper to join our team. In this role, you will begin with grinding tasks and have the opportunity to cross-train in basic fabrication processes. Key responsibilities include:Grinding: Use a hand grinder to smooth rough edges and polish metal surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.Basic Fabrication: Learn to cut metal to length using a tape measure, operate a brake press, perform spot welding, and assist with buffing and racking for paint.Department Assistance: Provide support to other departments as needed, including assembly, packaging, and paint.Hard SkillsMechanical Aptitude: Demonstrated through previous work experience, education, or hobbies.Grinding Experience: Familiarity with sheet metal grinding techniques.Measurement Skills: Proficient in using a tape measure and understanding basic math for accurate cutting.Tool Proficiency: Experience working with hand and power tools.Job TypeWork EnvironmentLocation: Fully on-site position in Anoka, Minnesota.Campus: Smoke-free environment.Shift Details1st Shift: $19/hour2nd Shift: $21.25/hour3rd Shift: $21/hourPerformance IncentivesPay Increases: $0.50 performance-based pay bump after 90 days and again after 6 months.Overtime Opportunities: Considerable overtime pay available!Apply now!About Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
