WELDING APPERNTICE/ WELDER'S NEEDE AT ANOKA MN CAN START ASAP !Job Description:Employees will start out working on an assembly line, learning the products that the company makes. This might involve doing simple mechanical assembly. As they become proficient in certain processes along the line, they will cross train. They will also work in grinding, where they will actually hold a hand grinder and smooth out rough edges, or polish the metal to a nice finish. They may cross train in basic fabrication, cutting sheets of metal to length, which would require the use of a tape measure. If they have the aptitude or previous experience, they may do a little spot welding, which holds the sheet metal in place, while they do the assembly. They may have the opportunity to cross train into MIG welding, but no employee their welds full time, so they will need to understand that rotating around the production line is the job.Qualifications:-1+ year experience working something mechanical and/or in manufacturing -Strong desire to advance one's career within fabrication and welding -Candidates could come from sheet metal fab, automotive or lube technicians, construction, concrete, former military non-climate controlled facility (hot in the summer/cold during the winter) Dirty environment (grinding dust, oil from steel, etc) Standing only positions – on their feet 8-10 hours per day Physical job – lifting, pushing, bending, and sometimes climbing (hand dexterity is important as well) Willingness to learn multiple work stations (grinding, spot-welding, assembly, etc) Blueprint reading experience preferred but not required. Willingness to learn a must. Job is repetitive – a lot of repeatable tasks taking place daily. (rotations occurring regularly but still repetitive) Attendance and punctuality is crucial.Benefits :

They will start someone with limited experience at $19 on 1st, $21.25 on 2nd, or $21 on 3rd.
If they are doing well and have good attendance, they will get a 50 cent raise after 90 days. When they get hired on after 6 months, many of these employees are getting raises to upwards of $21-$23/hr, plus shift differential.
They can work a considerable amount of OT, both during the week and on the weekends. If they work Sundays, and Sundays are always voluntary, and worked the previous 6 days, they will get paid double time for those hours.
Once they get hired on direct, They will pay for additional education if they want to advance in something like welding, or even engineering.
Shift Timing:
1st shift: 6 AM - 2 PM, Mon - Fri. They come in as early as 4 AM for OT, and will need to work some occasional Saturdays.
2nd shift: 2 PM - 10 PM, Mon - Fri, they stay late for OT, can be as late as 1 AM, will need to work occasional Saturdays
3rd shift: 10 PM - 6 AM, Sun night - Thurs morning. They come in early for OT and can sometimes stay late. May come in as early as 8 PM, or stay as late as 7 AM. Occasional Saturdays.
