We are seeking an ambitious and skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our overnight maintenance team in Anoka, MN. This is an outstanding opportunity to join our Maintenance & Facilities team, applying your expertise to ensure the smooth functioning of our production equipment and facility.As a Journeyman Electrician at nVent, you will:

Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.

Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair equipment issues related to electrical systems, controls, and PLCs, ensuring minimal disruption to production processes.

Electrical Construction and Modification: Construct and modify new and existing electrical circuits and distribution equipment in strict accordance with NEC requirements.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs and modifications, updating equipment files as necessary to ensure comprehensive documentation.

Integration and Debugging: Assist in the integration, start-up, and debugging of new or relocated equipment to ensure seamless operation.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Licensing: A valid MN Electrician license (minimum Journeyman) or the ability to test for the MN Electrician License within 30 days.

Technical Expertise: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical prints, including European style electrical prints, and strict adherence to National Electric Code rules.

Experience: A minimum of 4 years of electric/mechanical maintenance experience is preferred.

PLC Skills: PLC certification or demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, program, configure, and install PLC processors and components is preferred. Familiarity with PLC systems (Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI systems (Rockwell, iFix, Siemens) is a plus.
