Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk at our construction/contractor industry team based in Troy, Michigan. The role encompasses a range of financial tasks within a large, multi-state manufacturing context, including the management of cash applications, reconciliation duties, and support in month-end preparations for the Accounts Receivable department.Responsibilities Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner Maintain and update customer credit records ensuring high levels of accuracy Generate comprehensive month-end reports for the Accounts Receivable department Handle intercompany transactions and maintain clear, accurate records Utilize Oracle financial software and Excel to manage and analyze financial data Resolve payment discrepancies and ensure all financial data is accurate Liaise effectively with both the financial team and other departments for seamless operations Conduct account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records Assist in month-end close activities for the Accounts Receivable department Manage cash applications and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required Must have experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to handle Cash Applications is necessary Must be skilled in using Microsoft Excel Experience with Oracle software is a plus Familiarity with QuickBooks is highly desirable Must be able to perform Month-end Close Activities efficiently.
