Description Senior Technical AccountantReports To: Senior Manager, Technical AccountingJOB SUMMARY:Our client, a publicly traded company in a dynamic, non-automotive industry, is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to join its high-performing team. This role offers exposure to multiple business functions, including Treasury, Tax, Corporate Accounting, and External Reporting, with direct visibility to senior leadership. You'll work on strategic accounting initiatives, including business combinations, complex revenue transactions, lease transactions, and purchase accounting for acquisitions.Our client values a collaborative team environment that recognizes and rewards performance. Assist in the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, analyzing financial data, and reconciling accounts.

Serve as a technical accounting resource by researching, resolving, and documenting complex accounting matters.

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate accounting for complex transactions and continuous process improvements.

Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

Support and enhance internal controls over accounting processes and systems.

Provide critical support for financial statement audits and tax filings.

Lead or contribute to high-impact, ad-hoc projects as needed.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting

CPA required

2 or more years of experience in public accounting and/or external financial reporting for a public company

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to lead complex projects and develop others

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
