Supply Chain Specialist

Sika is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join it's growing team based in Madison Heights Michigan.The Supply Chain Specialist at Sika will play a key role in: planning to manage forecasting and inventory planning for a diverse product portfolio. This role will have a primary focus on imported products, requiring strong coordination with international suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal stock levels and seamless supply chain operations.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and business insights.Analyze demand patterns and adjust forecasts to align with market conditions, promotional activities, and seasonality.Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to refine demand projections.Ensure optimal inventory levels by balancing demand with supply constraints, lead times, and warehouse capacity.Monitor stock levels, identify potential shortages or overages, and take proactive steps to mitigate risks.Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to manage imported goods, ensuring timely replenishment.Manage relationships with global suppliers to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely deliveries.Track and optimize international shipping schedules, customs clearance, and transit times to prevent supply chain disruptions.Work with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure smooth import processes and compliance with regulations.Analyze key supply chain metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, lead times) and recommend improvements.Develop reports and dashboards to track demand trends, inventory performance, and supplier reliability.
