Patient Care Coordinator

Job Description Location: Onsite in Madison Heights. $18-$19.85/hr Hours option #1: Open to every other week is 7:30am to 4pm (be a little early to unlock doors 7:20am). 1st appointment is 7:30am! opposite week is 9:30am to 6pm. Monday through Friday! Hours option #2: OR, there is an option to do the 4 day work week, 7:30am to 6pm. They could do any day during the week to have off but not every Friday or not every Monday. Hours of operation is 7:30pm to 6pm. Appointments are normally 7:30am and 5pm when patients are in the office. But walks in are welcomed up to 6pm. This person will be required to answer calls quickly and assist customers with their needs. These customers will be calling about insurance questions, what products they are eligible for, what costs will look like, etc Someone with Medical / Insurance customer service experience would be a perfect fit. not required because they will train. Will coordinate the schedule for the clinical staff to see patients. Will verify insurance information and obtain the necessary authorizations and referral forms. Will process the orders in the computer system along with maintaining a current status on orders to be processed. File customer orders. Will discharge patients promptly and courteously and file medical records. Will prep all doc's for imaging as well. Keep in mind that most kids are Medicaid with 6-7 different HMO plans. This person will need to differentiate between them all along with other benefit packages. FYI, this person will potentially help with simple Shipping duties and sending casts out to be modified. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must Haves:

Ability to work with Pediatric patients that have disabilities in plain view.

Ability to have a thick skin due to some of the conversations being difficult

or with people that are generally unhappy.

Customer service experience. Face to face is a must.

Positive and pleasant. Good attitude!

Ability to learn the software system so basic computer skills are in order.

Good hygiene.

Team Player and multi-tasking. Answer the phone and use the computer at the

same time.

Comfortable with hours of operation.

Nice to Haves:

The CSR experience must be within the healthcare field.

Insurance customer service experience. Big Plus

Pediatric or special needs customer service exp.

Once Direct: Benefits are eligible after 90 days and they will start to accrue

60 hours of PTO once they are hired in directly.

Work Environment

Call center / store front type

environment. Products are on the shelves, on the walls or the back warehouse.

This is a busy facility. Need to help others if you have a moment. They see

60-70 patients and 8 Clinicians.
