This position provides the department with the sole expertise, technical direction, program and policy development and guidance for the implementation of youth Crisis Stabilization Unit programs statewide. It works with key stakeholders on the development of a program model, administrative rules, and a funding model. It works with various regions of the state to encourage the development of youth CSU services across the state. It ensures that youth CSU program policies promote DEI so that all Michiganders are equitably served. It develops and implements a quality improvement program to promote optimal performance of youth CSUs. It provides program guidance to certified youth CSUs at a quarterly best practice meeting. Occasional travel to the office located at Capital Commons will be required. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:

A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.

A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
