Parasitology Scientist

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Work with all species within the parasitology group to include large and small animals and various internal (worms) and external (fleas, ticks and mosquitoes) animal parasites.Assay development, optimization, and/or validation.Demonstrate proficiency with laboratory techniques and data management including computer skills.Utilize sterile cell culture techniques, whole organism work, whole blood work and/or cell culture work.Establish and maintain parasite colonies.Assist with in vivo parasite model work.Communicate with and assist technicians and other mid-senior level scientists. Follow and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) associated with laboratory procedures and study protocols.Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Other computer skills required: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.Work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, fast-paced, timeline driven and a positive attitude and organizational skills.
