Title: Maintenance Technician IIIReports to: SupervisorLocation: Holland, MILG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) develops and manufactures large lithium ion polymer batteries and packs for electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage applications. Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries! www.lgenergymi.comSummary:This position will engage in production equipment maintenance to ensure continuous production, including troubleshooting, regular preventive maintenance plan execution (TPM), and equipment modification. May also be involved with basic mechanical or electrical work as needed and as qualified.Responsibilities:

Perform responsibilities of conducting corrective and preventative maintenance of production equipment and their controls to ensure operation of machinery

Communicate directly with the production department to coordinate preventative maintenance and troubleshooting work in production areas

Prepare and manages periodic preventative maintenance schedule

Technician is responsible for keeping the records of all preventative maintenance and troubleshooting works

Coordinate with outside sources to schedule maintenance for more complex issues

Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment

Prepare and maintain maintenance related documents of daily report and check sheets

Mentor and train new maintenance technicians

Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container

Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience

Journeyman’s certificate or equivalent preferred

Experience:

3 to 5+ years of experience or equivalent relevant experience required

PLC experience preferred

Understanding of production and processing equipment

Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge

Problem solving and critical thinking skills

Technically proficient and motivated to continuously improve
