Responsibilities:
Perform all layouts and testing as required.
Issue layout and test reports to requester upon completion.
Maintain layout and test records.
Provide technical assistant in analysis and problem-solving of dimensional issues.
Perform gage studies, maintain gage management software and keep all certifications, calibrations of lab equipment and gages up-to-date, per plant and customer requirements.
Perform Lab Supervisor function, if approved by Management.
Maintain a neat and orderly work environment, maintain Lab (5S discipline), assure gages received from other plants are in designated work area.
Improve efficiency in layout performance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 Years of CMM Experience within the automotive industry.
Capable of operating and programming CMM with complete understanding of the software utilized.
Sound basic knowledge of the principles of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to produce clear, legible layout reports.
Working knowledge of basic metrology principles.
