Door and Closet Installation Technician – Warehouse & Field Operations

Michigan, Grand rapids
Aplica ya

Why this role matters:

Our promise of one-day door and closet transformations hinges on disciplined craftsmen who can manage their own time. After initial training period, you’ll work independently for about 80 % of the week—starting at the shop and traveling to jobs, taking field measurements, and assist with keeping the warehouse running smoothly—yet still collaborate with the team when large installs or truck unloads call for extra hands.

Core responsibilities

1. Installation & Finish Carpentry

Remove and set entry/exterior units; flash, shim, insulate, and weather-seal to code.

Hang prehung interior doors as well as interior door slabs in existing frames for same-day housewide upgrades.

Assemble and install custom closets, pantries, and garage organizers from 3-D drawings.

Install casing, crown, base, and scribe; sand, fill, and caulk for paint-ready finishes.

2. Field Measuring & Job Pre-planning

Conduct on-site measures, verify rough openings, record data in CompanyCam/Zoho, and flag discrepancies.

3. Inventory, Ordering & Warehouse Operations

Pull, label, and stage hardware, trim kits, doors and closet components for next-day installs.

Receive inbound shipments, check packing lists and review pallets for damage.

Keep the warehouse OSHA-clean: sweep, dispose of scrap, reorganize racking, and perform weekly 5-S checks.

4. General Facilities Upkeep & Tool Care (as needed)

Clean and restock your assigned van, calibrate miter saws/lasers, and log maintenance issues.
