Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Plant Health Care Technician with a passion for arboriculture to join our team. This role requires a hands-on approach to tree and plant healthcare, including diagnosis, treatment, and maintenance services. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, embrace a team mentality, and demonstrate ownership and accountability in their work.
Responsibilities:
Perform tree injections, spraying, soil injections, soil drenches, root pruning, and fertilizations.
Diagnose tree and plant health issues, including disease and insect pests.
Accurately calculate and apply pesticide mixes and dosages.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to industry standards and company policies.
Requirements:
MDARD 3B pesticide applicator certification required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Minimum 1 year of experience in plant healthcare or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred: Certified Arborist or working towards certification.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
