Powertrain System Engineering for commercial vehicles. Perform engine and vehicle testing, including data analysis, and test automation.

Fuel Cell Systems Engineer Co-op

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Fuel Cell Module Systems Team in various activities, including vehicle instrumentation and testing, data review and analysis, problem solving, etc.
  • Support Fuel Cell Stack Team in various activities, including mechanical vibration test support, remote validation, etc.
  • Support Fuel Cell Balance of Plant Teams in customer acquisition and early project support tasks
  • Electric Air Compressor: Test bench specification review, compressor/turbine layout support, power calculations, market research
  • Anode Recirculation Blower: Customer/competitor market research, customer/platform data analysis
  • Hydrogen Gas Injector + Jet-pump/Venturi: Customer/competitor market research, customer/platform data analysis
  • Good communicator; able to explain engineering processes in simple terms to non-engineers in verbal, written, and visual form
  • Frequently reporting status updates to mentor, team, and management as needed
  • Team-oriented, self-directed personality, good inter-personal and organizational skills
  • Position is located in Fh, travel to customer sites in AZ or other areas may be required
  • MS Office Tools: Excel, Powerpoint, Word

Qualifications

Mechanical or Electrical engineering student

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university
  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree with at least one semester completed
  • Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior Level Student
  • Minimum of overall GPA of at least 3.0
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
