Working/Functional TitleInst/Ast Prof/Asc Prof/Prof Fixed TermPosition SummaryThe MSU School of Social Work is dedicated to educating students for ethical, competent, responsive, and innovative social work practice, and to conducting and disseminating high quality research that improves the well-being of the most vulnerable in society. Our teaching, research, and outreach synergistically promote social justice, positive change, and solutions to the problems facing diverse individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. More than 650 students are enrolled in our CSWE-accredited BASW and MSW programs, and PhD program.The School supports MSU's outreach mission through off-campus, distance, and blended instructional programs that utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies. We also provide multiple opportunities for creative interdisciplinary teaching and research, community-based studies, and partnerships with government agencies and neighborhoods.The School of Social Work seeks candidates for 8-10 positions to teach courses in social work practice methods, human behavior and the social environment, social welfare policy, and research methods to teach face-to-face and on-line courses. Courses are offered at our East Lansing, Flint, Statewide Blended and Weekend campus sites.
