We are a fast-growing residential remodeling company looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Oakland County, Michigan. This is a full-time, in-office role with significant responsibility, visibility, and long-term growth potential.
What We’re Looking For:
Budget Management: Track and enforce project budgets. Review subcontractor payouts and ensure spending stays within limits.
Vendor Coordination & Negotiation: Communicate directly with subcontractors, verify material lists, and negotiate pricing when needed.
Expense Oversight: Manage company credit card transactions, control financial outflows, and stay on top of costs.
Spreadsheet & Financial Reporting: Must be able to build and manage your own spreadsheets, reconcile numbers, and track performance.
Customer Billing: Request draws, follow up on payments, and communicate with clients professionally (usually 3–4 touchpoints per project).
Strong Organizational Skills: Handle multiple active projects and deadlines without dropping the ball.
Professionalism: Clear, confident communication and high attention to detail are non-negotiable.
Requirements:
3–5+ years of accounting experience (construction or project-based preferred).
Strong command of spreadsheets and accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).
Comfortable managing budgets, financials, and speaking directly with subcontractors and clients.
Compensation & Hours:
$20/hr during the probation period.
$25/hr + bonus potential after probation.
Top performers can earn up to $7,000/month when bonuses are factored in.
Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM (1-hour lunch).
