Looking for an Entry Level Engine Rebuilder/Machinist. The position will focus on big and small block Chevy engines, both cast iron and aluminum. Willing to train the right individual to do engine, and cylinder head remanufacturing. Experience or someone with some knowledge and/or background in machining is preferred, but we’re willing to train someone with a great attitude and a knack or interest in machining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remanufacturing engine blocks and cylinder heads with precision
- Using a boring machine
- Using a honing machine
- Using a milling machine
- Using a parts washing machine
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace, facility and equipment
Qualifications:
- Some experience as a machinist preferred but not required
- Ability to operate milling, boring, and honing machines
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Ability to read measuring tools, i.e. micrometer, caliper
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 lbs.
