We are looking to add an experienced medical receptionist to our team. We are an Internal Medicine/Geriatric Practice.
We are looking for a hard worker that knows how to work within a team. Experience in customer service. We are willing to train on the job but some experience is preferred. We are looking for someone who is able to multi-task, someone who is organized and has the eagerness to learn and grow within the role and have the ablity to handle yourself in a professional manner. We are looking for someone who has compassion and patience when speaking with difficult or hard of hearing patients.
Job responsibilities:
Greeting and checking in patients.
Verifying patient demographics, insurance and scanning updated insurance into our EMR.
Checking out patients, scheduling follow-up visits and collecting any payments.
Triage calls from patients.
Chart prep, patient balance, Insurance and co/pay verification for the following week.
Sort and scan test results, daily charts, consults, lab work, hospital records, MCIR and index.
Placing orders for medication refills, electronically.
Sort and distribute faxes
Referrals and prior authorizations
Experience with an Electronic Medical Record is required
Hours: 9-5
