SBA Business Banking Underwriter I

Description Please note that you must have at least 1 year of experience in commercial credit analysis and/or underwriting to be considered for this position.Summary: The Business Banking Underwriter I is responsible for underwriting Business Banking loans to determine credit worthiness and compliance with Bank lending policy. Duties and Responsibilities:

Supports Business Banking production by maintaining an individual pipeline of work.

Reviews all financial and credit application information to make sound credit decisions. Credits would typically include those with less complexity and customer exposure up to $1MM.

Utilizes single approval authority up to $1MM.

Appropriately assess risk profile of borrower.

Tasks as needed to support the line of business and job family

Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

1+years’ business or commercial credit analysis or underwriting experience in a centralized lending environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business related field

Proficient use of Microsoft Office and other internet resources

Excellence in customer service, highly motivated, focused and goal oriented

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and demeanor

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up

Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without compromising quality

Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
