Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the Restaurants & Catering industry, located in Detroit, Michigan. This role involves overseeing financial operations within the company, providing detailed financial analyses, and working extensively with Microsoft Excel to manage large amounts of data. Responsibilities: Analyze financial data to support decision-making processes and provide accurate financial reports Oversee entry level analysts, providing guidance and support Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage and analyze large data sets, including the use of vlookups and pivot tables Develop PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate financial data and analyses to senior leadership Monitor financial trends within the industry and company, providing recommendations as needed Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data Utilize strong analytical skills to identify financial risks and opportunities Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and best practices in the restaurant & catering industry Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws Work both remotely and in-office as required, adhering to the company’s flexible work policy. Requirements Proficient in Financial Analysis and providing strategic financial advice. Demonstrable ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas effectively for financial tasks. Experience in the Restaurants & Catering industry is a plus. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial data and complex financial concepts. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. Relevant detail oriented certifications (such as CFA, CPA) would be advantageous. Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics and economics. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and build strong working relationships.
