Minimum Qualifications?
- 5 Years of experience successfully supporting a business continuity program or crisis management program(s)
- 3 years of experience in disaster recovery or IT service management program management
- 3 years of experience in disaster recovery planning and execution
- 3 years of experience analyzing system failures to minimize outages and interruptions
- Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Demonstrated ability in building and improving disaster recovery plans
- Knowledge of client server architectures, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls and associated technologies
- Advanced knowledge of cloud disaster recovery concepts, strategy and standards
- Advanced knowledge of technology compliance requirements and their relationship to production processes
- Knowledge of SANS, clustering and virtualization concepts
- Familiarity with relevant standards such as ISO 22301, NIST, FFIEC, FEMA National Incident Management System, etc.
- Professional certification(s) in business continuity, disaster recovery and/or crisis management
- Results-oriented and accountability-minded
- Bachelor?s degree or equivalent in work experience
- Project or program management experience
- Professional certification: Certified Business Continuity Professional/Manager (CBCP) (CBCM) (MBCP), Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (C/DRE) or other relevant certification(s)
- ITIL Foundations, V3
- Manage projects in the disaster recovery program through the project lifecycles of initiation, planning, execution and closure to ensure service commitments are valuable and delivered on time
- Identify valuable metrics that provide momentum in driving program value
- Identify, analyze and align disaster recovery requirements with business recovery capabilities
- Collaborate with other BC/DR team members to align business recovery requirements with IT recovery capabilities to ensure recovery plans are comprehensive and robust
- Develop disaster recovery policies, standards, guidelines and requirements for both on-premise and cloud applications/systems
- Standardize the disaster recovery processes and procedures across all critical applications and business units
- Ensure process/procedural changes are effectively communicated to affected teams
- Gather and analyze disaster recovery and risk data to influence risk-aware decision-making specific to technology recovery capabilities?
- Lead testing of disaster recovery services
- Conduct and document disaster recovery exercises
- Research opportunities to improve system and application recoverability?
- Track and report on the progress of IT recovery-specific projects
- Support client-specific annual disaster recovery testing/training requirements
- Provide support to clients during third-party risk reviews, assessments and reporting
- Provide support during incidents, widespread outages, disasters or crises that have the potential to require activation of response plans
- Prepare documentation in preparation for audits and/or regulatory reviews
- Provide general compliance and internal/external audit support
- Serve as the primary Disaster Recovery Program Manager as a member of the Crisis Management Team
- Work closely with Crisis Management team members to continually mature and improve the response to disruptive events
- Communicate with team members at all levels on the status of recovery services, capabilities and events
