Instructional TechnologistApply NowHow to ApplyApplicants should provide a cover letter with their application outlining their specific interest and qualifications in this position.SummaryThe UM-Dearborn Office of Digital Education and Hub for Teaching and Learning Resources are seeking an Instructional Technologist (Instructional Learning Intermediate) with expertise in video production (recording and editing). The Instructional Technologist will work with faculty members to create high-quality ADA-compliant instructional videos, and also work, as part of a team, to support faculty pedagogical needs. This position will be a 40 hour full-time position and is benefits eligible. This position is considered to be exempt under FLSA.Responsibilities

Working with faculty to record videos in the Digital Education recording room, faculty offices, or at other locations.

Video editing (title/credit screens, cutting, trimming, greenscreen work) with Camtasia Studio or Adobe Premiere.

Running and maintaining Lightboard used in the Digital Education recording room.

Assisting with closed-captioning as required for accessibility accommodations.

Assisting in course redesign projects, incorporating student-centered pedagogy and high-impact practices under guidance.

Keeping abreast of the latest educational technologies, instructional design, and video trends to support innovative teaching solutions.

Creating help guides, instructional materials, and collecting information on teaching best practices with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.

Presenting workshops for faculty on various audio/video or instructional technology topics.

Providing excellent customer service as an individual and as part of a team.

Following confidentiality guidelines and FERPA requirements when handling private and personal information.

Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor?s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or Media Arts (or similar).

Experience with video recording and editing software (personal work is acceptable).

Excellent communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

Master?s Degree in Instructional Design or Instructional Technology (or similar).

Excellent organizational skills.

Excellent time-management skills.

Ability to work independently.

Experience with editing closed-captions for ADA-compliant accuracy.
