Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering TechnicianJob DescriptionThis manufacturing engineering technician will be working within the machining department primarily on the floor maintaining, diagnosing, and ensuring that all machines, robots, CNCs, and PLC systems are operating at peak performance. They will develop and implement improvement plans to all equipment to meet production needs. This technician will be responding to all equipment downtimes and preparing reports to reflect existing issues, improvements, and countermeasures. They will also recommend corrective actions using quality tools like 5W 2H, 5P, SA, or others as necessary.Responsibilities
Maintain, diagnose, and ensure peak performance of all machines, robots, CNCs, and PLC systems.
Develop and implement improvement plans to meet production needs.
Respond to all equipment downtimes and prepare reports on existing issues, improvements, and countermeasures.
Recommend corrective actions using quality tools like 5W 2H, 5P, SA, or others.
Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate action plans and root cause verification.
Work collaboratively with engineers, managers, coordinators, area leaders, and associates.
Participate in all 5S activities.
Contribute to cost savings, quality, and safety in the development of the plant, team activities, and safety-related activities.
Essential Skills
2 years of experience working with machines/CNCs in a manufacturing setting
Mechanical aptitude
Experience in maintaining, diagnosing, and troubleshooting robotics, CNCs, and PLC systems
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
CNC programming
Robotics
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Engineering Degree
Experience in programming Mitsubishi PLCs
Ability to work well with others
Good verbal and written communication skills
Quick understanding of old and new equipment/technology
Work EnvironmentThis is a first shift position, Monday-Friday 6:30am-3pm with weekends as needed (not often). There may be up to 5% travel to the Georgia plant if needed. The role primarily involves working on the floor and requires collaboration with various team members.
