- Support MECR in the development of Network Communication Standards
- Following IEEE Standards; Cable Standards; EMF Interference; Hardware and Software
- Lead the execution, deployment and integration of the following disciplines, to include all hardware and software, but not limited to: Network Architecture, Communication System Equipment
- Allen Bradley; Siemens; Cisco; Hirschman; Windows O/S; Routers; NAT; Repeaters; Switches; MECR/ICT Joint Systems; Other network and auxiliary equipment, as required.
- Support program goals during launch to include, but not limited to: Ensuring that build and process is following company standards and Support process at plant on Wireless Communication projects
- Through-put improvements; Cycle time improvements; Downtime resolution; Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) reduction; Provide any related reports; Campaigns; Lessons learned; Other matrixes, as required
- Support for Line Integrators
- Provide education to line Integrators and team members on the proper deployment of Network Standards and equipment deployment
- Assist the Line Integrator engineering and execution staff with understanding the network architecture and MECR/ICT systems and auxiliary equipment utilized to MECR Specifications
- Support WCT and PDES (Process Design)
- Research PFS systems; Design Layout of PFS systems; Design Safety Reviews
- EEM (Early Equipment Management)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering/Information Technology
- 5 years of experience in following fields:
- Technical field support of network architecture problem solving
- Networking equipment and systems
- Experience with the use of Network System Diagnostic programs and equipment similar to;
- Softing WireXpert, Cisco IoS, Net Scout, Wireshark, Spectrum Analyzer, Network loggers, Diagnostic network taps.
- Experience with analyzing data reports generated from diagnostic programs and equipment
- Manufacturing Engineering and Information Technology experience with an emphasis on Network Communication Standards 11 and EtherNet/IP, Device Net, ProfNet I/O, TCP/IP, QOS (Quality of Service),
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, SNMP, switching and routing protocols
- Familiar with Network Security protocols
- Problem solving skills specific to Information Technology, network management and system designs
- Innovative thinker with excellent organizational and project management skills
- Excellent presentation skills, both written and oral
- Microsoft Office Suite software programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Access, Outlook and SQL)
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to Senior Management
- Understanding of PLC communication and its effect on Ethernet networks
