Position: Sr. Product Manager - Cloud & Managed Services

Type: Perm/FTE

Location: Ann Arbor, MIWe are looking for a Product Manager to help execute on its DDoS Protection strategies, with special focus on Service Providers and MSSPs, but also including large Enterprises. The primary goal is maintaining a quarter-by-quarter view and understanding of the customer base so we can translate this knowledge into sales collateral, identify competitive strengths/weaknesses and properly steer the business.The successful candidate will collaborate with the PM Director and colleagues to drive the Threat Mitigation System and general DDoS mitigation solutions to market, including (but not limited to): coordinating back-end operations and execution; providing sales support during deal development and triage before and after fulfillment; and working with customers and security experts to develop and improve the solutions’ DDoS defense capabilities to deal with an ever-changing threat landscape.You will serve in a technical product expert role – requiring a strong background in networking, ISP infrastructure and security as well as experience working with engineering teams, translating market needs into product requirements, the ability to identify operational efficiencies, and interfacing with internal stakeholders, account teams (account managers & sales engineers), customers and technology partners.

Engineering & Commercial Operations Support
  • Manage detailed requirements through development to ensure that they meet customer expectations; Interface with engineering to develop effective requirements and use cases
  • Helping shepherd new commercial offerings into production, including developing SKUs, back-end processes, etc.
  • Maintaining the existing SKU catalog
  • Track and prioritize Feature Requests, interfacing between sales and engineering to understand and map upcoming releases to our roadmap and requirements
  • Customer base tracking/reporting – number of customers on the platform, retention rates, etc.
  • Customer base profiling – Enterprise vs. Service Provider, industry vertical, package/license distribution, etc.
  • Ownership of sales enablement initiatives – roadmap deck updates, sales ordering guides, success stories, etc.

General Sales Support
  • Support sales in responding to RFPs, RFQs and major customer tenders
  • Support account teams with general commercial troubleshooting and carry the voice of the customer back to internal stakeholders

Partner/OEM Support
  • Manage OEM, partner alliance and joint selling/promotion relationships
  • Help with operational execution and implementation of joint product/solution partner agreements

Competitive Intelligence Support
  • Support maintenance of competitive intelligence collateral for DDoS Protection
  • Assist the PM team in monitoring/comparing/evaluating competitive products and services in the market
  • Assist the PM team in analyzing markets to identify market trends and unmet customer needs

Experience
  • Strong technical network engineering knowledge and background Understanding of Enterprise networking environments and operations and Service Provider routing/peering/backbone architectures and operations
  • Understanding of network protocols, including IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, and TLS
  • Familiarity with DDoS attack methodologies and trends strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be able to discuss technical details at the engineering level and summarize complex issues at the executive level
  • Be comfortable presenting to small or large groups
  • 3+ years of technical marketing, sales engineering, or product management experience preferred
  • Familiar with AGILE development and product management processes
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering degree required
  • Driving sense of craftsmanship, quality, and ownership
