Location: Ann Arbor, MI Shift: Full Time - Hybrid Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday in office, Monday and Friday RemoteTravel: Up to 50%Compensation: $85,000-105,000 + Bonus (Based on Experience)The Senior Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for partnering with supply chain center teams within the assigned region to execute health and safety policies and ensure compliance with applicable local, regional and federal regulations. They work with supply chain center leadership teams to create a culture of safety, to monitor and coach safety action items, and follow up on safety incidents to ensure appropriate action was taken. They lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risk in our processes to ensure a safe working environment.The Senior Health and Safety Specialist builds strong relationships with the supply chain team. They understand safety programs and can articulate them clearly to achieve operational buy in and ownership, while supporting site leadership in leading safety initiatives that increase team member involvement. They provide relevant risk assessments and safety data analysis to center leaders, partnering with them to develop mitigation plans.The Senior Health and Safety Specialist encourages, requests, and leverages feedback to identify and remove barriers and safety concerns. They identify and appropriately escalate safety incidents to site, regional and key stakeholders to drive awareness and highlight opportunities for policy improvement. Main ResponsibilitiesProactively conduct regular risk assessments, site visits and safety inspections. Implement solutions to reduce exposure to risks and prevent injury. Share identified risks and solutions across the centers in the region.Identify trends in both single sites and across the region and identify root causes to make informed decisions and achieve improvement.Assist sites in the implementation of health and safety policies. Educate site leadership and team members on their responsibilities under each policy to proactively identify and remove potential hazards/safety concerns.Audit recordkeeping practices and cases entries to ensure compliance with company policy and local regulations.Supporting centers through incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action processes to limit the number of incidents.Analyze safety metrics and review incident trends for actionable insights and work with center leadership to develop/execute improvement plan.Serve as a technical resource for health and safety regulations regionally to site compliance and provide oversight to ensure compliance with all applicable company H&S policies.
