This is a full time research position in the DoGoodS-PI environmental health laboratory, which conducts both toxicological and epidemiological studies to impact the role of environmental exposures on health. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to organize multiple priorities and serve as a member of a dynamic research team.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Conduct research experiments (may be conducted with mouse models, stem cells, primary cell lines, immortalized cell lines, or human tissue samples). In general, these experiments are aimed at investigating the impact of environmental chemical exposures and/or nutrition on epigenetics and disease development.
Conduct daily maintenance activities for mouse colonies and/or stem cell cultures.
Serve as a point person for 1-2 projects: Managing experimental plans and timelines; collection, analysis and interpretation of data; and preparation of publications.
Train undergraduate and graduate students and technicians in lab equipment operation, assay/experimental design and conduction.
Required QualificationsBS or MS in biomedical sciences with at least 1-2 years of experience working in research laboratories required. Experience with stem cell and mouse (or other animal model) studies and molecular biology techniques highly desired. Experience with managing laboratory projects highly desired.
