Work with Michigan lawyers to tell their unique stories. Help ensure that ICLE's events are marketed with maximum effectiveness and that faculty have a great experience. Provide essential administrative support and serve as primary liaison between the marketing and sales team and other departments. Success involves handling a variety of time-sensitive tasks, resolving issues, communicating clearly and consistently, and getting a lot of details right. This hybrid position offers remote work three or more days each week. Requires someone who excels in meeting goals and works well independently and as a member of a team.Responsibilities40% - Copywriting for Use in a Variety of Formats and Channels
Write copy for a variety of content marketing, sales, and customer support needs. Includes print and digital formats
Interview Michigan lawyers for promotional purposes to be used in social media and other marketing channels
Write video scripts and proof videos
Write and edit faculty biographies and enter into a database
Write email templates to be used by customer experience team for customer follow-up and outreach
Write email copy for promotional and business emails
30% - Marketing and Sales Data Collection and Analysis
Track marketing, sales, and market data and generate reports
Summarize marketing, sales, and market data and provide a basic analysis of findings and actionable insights
Assist with customer research, including in-person data collection and surveys
25% - Administrative Support for Events Team
Coordinate with faculty across multiple, simultaneous events to schedule planning meetings, conference calls, and Zoom recordings
Prepare faculty packets distributed at events
Ensure events are preapproved for CLE credit. Be an internal expert on CLE. Prepare forms for others to submit by deadline. Track approvals and resolve issues.
Process event attendee evaluations, enter into database, proo, and distribute to faculty
Assist the events team at selected in-person events when additional staffing is needed. May include overnight stays based on event location.
Manage logistics for event-related meetings at ICLE, including food ordering and payment of invoices
5% - Other Duties as Assigned
Serve on Institute teams
Assist with meeting minutes
Serve as backup for database entry
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications or related field; and/or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience
1-5 years of experience working in a marketing and sales department
1-5 years of experience writing marketing copy and conducting marketing interviews
Knowledge of general marketing principles and an ability to apply them
Experience executing administrative support tasks. Able to schedule Zoom meetings and webinars and group conference calls using Doodle or similar tools.
Experience tracking and analyzing data and creating reports
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Efficient using Microsoft Outlook, Access, Excel, Word, and PPT
Proven ability to execute multiple projects at once. Able to prioritize tasks, adhere to deadlines, and provide progress updates.
Proven ability to work courteously with the public
Able to work collaboratively
Able to occasionally travel in Michigan and to work occasional evenings and weekends
Desired Qualifications
Basic knowledge of mandatory continuing legal education requirements
Knowledge of ICLE's brand
Understanding of ICLE's customers, potential customers and products
Familiarity with AI use in marketing and sales areas
